Yesterday I was outside doing some yard work and I slipped and fell on a wet brick sidewalk. I didn’t think much of it at the time and continued working in my yard. I trimmed the bushes and planted some spring flowers. After cleaning up outside, I decided to take a short nap in my recliner. After I woke and went to stand up there was a shooting pain in my lower back. That fall must have hurt me after all. I immediately called my favorite chiropractor in Turlock. They just had a cancellation and wanted to know if I would like to take an appointment in 30 minutes. Of course, I wanted to go as quickly as possible.
My daughter was home and said she would take me. I was so grateful that I didn’t have to drive. The chiropractor did an examination of my back and made adjustments on it. He said to take it easy for a couple of days and let him know if I needed to come back for another adjustment. As soon as I got home, I plopped down in my recliner and took it easy for the rest of the day.
My family wasn’t used to mom being down like this. They all had to fend for themselves, and me. I must say that they took very good care of me and catered to my every need. They even sat and watched movies with me since I couldn’t do anything else. By the next day, I was feeling much better and decided to follow doctor’s orders and take it easy for one more day. The next day rolled around and I could not believe how much I was back to my old self. Needless to say, I was much more careful on wet sidewalks
