Whenever one of my friends has an ailment that causes them pain, I almost always suggest that they visit my Philadelphia chiropractor to get some relief. They know that I am serious too, because of my own experiences with him. It all started out last year when my grandson bought me a pair of roller blades. I figured since I loved roller skating when I was younger, it would be easy to catch on to this. I thought it would be just like riding a bike, meaning very easy to pick back up.
Well, let me tell you something. Roller blades might not be more difficult than roller skates for most people, but I hadn’t been on skates for over 50 years. I learned that not doing something for 50 years is probably the first clue to not jump right in and do something! I was okay for the first few seconds, but then gravity took over. I was on my back before I even realized what was happening. While the others laughed, I tried to not show how much pain I was actually in. My grandson helped me up, and I spent the rest of the day on my couch with a heating pad.
The next morning, I went to the chiropractor because I figured I had done something wrong. Thankfully, it was just bruised, and there was no major damage done. I did learn a lot though at my appointment. I have the beginning stages of arthritis, and I also have diabetes. When my chiropractor told me that regular adjustments would help me with both of those ailments, I couldn’t sign up for them quick enough. That was a year ago, and I feel so much better today. Not better enough to get back on the roller blades, but I will do just about anything else!
